Business Lending Blueprint Review – Star – “Wanted a much better lifestyle”

Oz:
Hey, everyone. I have a special member here with me, Star. Hey Star, how’s it going?
Star Morisseau:
Hey, it’s going good. Working, working, working.
Oz:
Working. Yeah, nonstop working. Star is, while she’s a true star, she does many things. She joined my program I think a little more than a month ago and she is a ball of energy. There’s so many things, so I want to get to know her a little bit and get her take on what she’s been doing so far with the blueprint and things like that. So Star, if you can take a moment to kind of introduce yourself and what you do and things like that, that would be great.
Star Morisseau:
Okay. I am [Gelde 00:00:41] Star Morrisseau of course most people prefer to say Star because it’s easier, but you don’t have to roll your tongue as much saying Gelde Star Morrisseau, but yeah, I have a background in mortgage and real estate early 2000, all the way to 2009 I was doing mortgage and real estate, then I got out of it. Then I started venturing more into entertainment because I felt like I had a much more love for the entertainment, I wanted to perform, I wanted to sing, I dance and do all this great stuff. So I went and venture that a little bit, which I love it. It’s a getaway. It’s a way for me to actually to just, I don’t know, to enjoy and have fun, but in reality it was hard to really make money in the industry, not easy.
Star Morisseau:
Even right now I was looking for something even more that can give me the kind of money that I used to at some point, have in my account that, much better lifestyle. And then I was like, “You know what? Let me go post ads.”8 Because I have multiple companies. He just mentioned, I even have a cleaning business where I get contracts, whatever I sign. But I tried different things to see what really bring more revenue to be … in reality, I find that real estate was actually the most lucrative. And mortgage per se was the best among all of the business that I’ve tried out, the businesses that I’ve tried. But as far as financial-wise, okay. But at the same time, sometimes you could be making the money and you still miserable and not enjoying life, not enjoying the things that actually bring you joy.
Star Morisseau:
And I find this to be more simple, much easier than even doing mortgages. So when I was looking for something not long ago, just mid-December, the end of December, and then I was like, “Well, I always do that.” When I start finding myself cornered with bills and everything overwhelmed and I’m like, “What would God do now?” So God gives the answer. It’s just a way of me go entwine with myself to find the answer of what I’m looking for. And when I said that, I just go on my laptop and to post an ad looking for cleaning and then that’s when I come across your ad. And I’m like, I was just asking God what would I do now? And something told me just go do that.
Star Morisseau:
It was just like, it was just so smooth, it’s like, “Here’s your answer.” And so I do look at this very dear, very precious to me. I look at it like it’s God answering me by giving me something that I will be excited about, something that I will love and enjoy doing. Because like I said, I mean after all these years doing mortgages, which I’ve been to the toughest part, and this is [inaudible 00:03:43] thing, this should be much easier. And quicker, you don’t have to wait after appraisals, inspections and all the extra stuff before you can actually get paid. And I was like, “This is amazing.” But what was great also about your program Oz, what I find out when I saw it, I probably got too overexcited. You heard, I’m just the Energizer Bunny. I am, I am, I admit. I’m such a Energizer Bunny, I get so excited.
Star Morisseau:
So much idea stuff flowing, like so much things start coming and which you always remind me, is like stay to the blueprint, stay with the blueprint. And I’m like, “Oh, you don’t understand, it’s hard.” Every time I get a little bit it’s like you get a dose and you’re like Oh. You get so excited and with the little dose that I would get and so at this point, I haven’t finished halfway there yet. But the thing is just from the start I started getting clients, well that also would throw you off. And then I started getting clients because the reason I went after clients instead of focusing on mastering my program, the blueprint program, because I actually needed money now, which was the reason why I even joined the program, you understand? And I’m like, “I need money now.”
Star Morisseau:
So therefore let me … I already get the point, I see what the program and all of that stuff and all of it is so exciting, it’s so great. And the thing is, let me tell you the fact that I do multiple endeavors and businesses, I was like this is what I’ve been looking for, for a very long time. Why? I plan on utilizing the platform that I’m learning right now from the merchant cash advance, what you’re teaching us to do my other business. Like I have an event company where I have some [inaudible 00:05:28] events, I don’t know if you’ve seen it where I, events actually the past two, three, four years I was doing events consistently. Like I will not go two, three months without putting on an event or something like that.
Star Morisseau:
And I have the fact that also I’m into music. My sons, they are doing music and I plan on doing some major festival and now when I look at the ClickFunnel I was like, “Oh my God, this is so cool.” I can actually do the marketing for my festival, for my music, my event stuff. But in the meantime, let me stay focused and stay grounded because of the fact is your background has to do with the merchant cash advance who says and it brings you a lot of success in your life, and [inaudible 00:06:06] and learn from you as a mentor. I know that I can get financially not only successful but also teach others. Because I have this thing also about me, I don’t mind sharing, I don’t mind others know and teach others what I’ve learned, what works for me. Just like you’re doing for us right now. You’re giving to us, you’re giving back what you have learned with your time, with your experience, with your effort into this business.
Star Morisseau:
And I feel like if I learn it properly from you and later I can … because in the long run I plan on having like teams. Teams of people where I can teach this to, of course even if I get like I was doing as a mortgage broker, when I was a principal broker, I got to the point where I was giving away almost 90% or 80% even just the 10% that I get from everybody that I was just happy with that. You understand what I’m saying to you? So I saw the potential in this to do the same thing and hopefully once I’m educated enough in this field and know and attend enough knowledge, you understand even as I go and I can pass on and teach others and build … as you guys see, I just come on the backfield so I could just get some more light.
Star Morisseau:
A black girl needs some light. Hold on, but listen, just so I can actually just help others to do what you’re teaching us, what you’re mentoring us, what you’re giving to us. And I felt like, again, you are a blessing. And I felt that God, my God, I don’t know. Some people don’t believe in God, but you know, my intuition and my connection with the most high guide me to you and I must listen and stop being all over the place and focus. And so therefore I’m here to learn from you and become the best that I can be in your business and then hopefully apply it to my other businesses that I have. That in the long run that I, I mean the kind of business that they don’t require your nine to five every day. It’s like I could be promoting an event, once I put the proper staffing together and the proper promotion online, like you’re teaching and all that stuff, it should be a piece of cake, you see?
Oz:
Absolutely. And it’s a very humbling to receive those compliments, thank you. But you’ve touched on a lot of great points. So obviously you have an entrepreneurial brain. You have ideas running all the time nonstop, “I got to do this, I got to do that.”
Star Morisseau:
I do.
Oz:
And the goal is not to change you because that’s who you are, but the goal is to channel that energy because there’s a bulk of extra energy you don’t know what to do and your brain doesn’t stop, right?To channel that to one area that you’re really good at, which in this case, through the blueprint and massively grow it out of that. Like some people are naturally talented to grow teams, offices and things like that. And we communicate quite often and I see that in you too, so you’re not the type of lady who’s going to run this from home forever.
Oz:
So you’re going to probably want to go out there and teach it and hire people, manage people, motivate them, get them going [crosstalk 00:09:15] massive organization. And it is impossible to do that if your energy is dispersed into a hundred different things, right? But it’s very difficult to control that. So it’s not like saying, “Oh, look what this person does. I mean, he focuses on one business.” But you’re talking about a different personality because I was very similar to you. At some point, I had five businesses and I was like, “Well that’s what entrepreneurs does and that’s what Richard Bronson does.” Like, Oh, all the people that I model, I thought, “You know what? They have multiple businesses, I can do that too.” And at the time my mentor is like, “All right, so let’s go through these businesses. How much are you generating from this, from this and from this and from this?” So we need to line it up like that I noticed that, “Oh crap.” I wasn’t making money from most of these. And he said, “Which one is making money for you?” Then I looked at one business model, he said, “Dude, you got to dump all of the other ones and focus your energy on what’s working right now.”
Star Morisseau:
Exactly, that’s what I’m doing.
Oz:
So you’re doing that, you’re slowly transitioning into that because obviously you’re super talented, you can be doing anything and still be able to make money, but that’s not always about that. It’s all about consistency and growth, right? Making money today is good, but tomorrow if you get in trouble financially that you got to, immediately the reflexes, let me go look at something else, let me find something else, right? So the constant search for something shiny is kind of the downfall for an entrepreneur. So you got to stay focused and I applaud you for that. You’ve been really working hard to make that happen because I know it’s your type of personality, it is very difficult to do that. And I know you’re working really hard.
Star Morisseau:
It is. It is, it’s very difficult. It’s for real because I’m like, “Oh my God, I should be actually promoting this concert right now or this event.” And then you saw me I’m like, I’m even answering to ads to just go be model. And of course I model for fun most of the time, but now [crosstalk 00:11:06].
Oz:
I know you do modeling, but you got to do what’s fun too, right? So you have hobbies [crosstalk 00:11:09].
Star Morisseau:
Yes. Yeah, it gives me excitement. So that’s my hobby.
Oz:
Yeah? And also you touch on another way point. A lot of our members do that. So the marketing principles you’re learning, those are principles and fundamentals do not change. Once those skillsets, like you said, you can apply to other businesses. Yes a different product and when you’re selling some other stuff, but once you understand, have the grasp of how to market something properly, that stays with you, that becomes a part of who you are. So no matter what you’re doing, that’s just what you’re applying.
Star Morisseau:
That’s exactly what I saw.
Oz:
Yeah, so and [crosstalk 00:11:42].
Star Morisseau:
That’s what I saw, that’s what makes me so excited. Because I can still use the LinkedIn, the Facebook or all the ClickFunnel, all of to do the entertainment business, which I love so much, but in the meantime, learning it properly while putting a real regular professional business together, I think that’s the challenge and I’m willing to take on that challenge. But the good news also is I’m already able to help people. I’ve already, I mean actually submit about a good what? Seven, eight files, whatever. Yeah, I have files and like I said, I have one with the grace of God that is closing on Monday. [inaudible 00:12:27] which I mentioned [inaudible 00:12:29] others, but mentioning it, there was others who try to take this file away from me, but by God’s will it should be closed on Monday and many other ones that I have, essentially still there and I’m working like the equipment released. [inaudible 00:12:48].
Oz:
Yeah, certainly. So you broke up a little, but I was able to make out what you’re saying. So for those who couldn’t hear it, Monday, you’re funding your first deal, which is a pretty sizable deal, which is a good job. I mean you’ve been fighting so many things on your end because again, as an entrepreneur, you have this energy that you started immediately getting deals and you say, “You know what? I got this. Now let me just go around, take care of them.” That you notice that, “Oh, you’ve got to learn more stuff.” But you came back again and you try to learn it. So you’re going back and forth through this process of try to follow the blueprint but once you kind of put yourself in line with the blueprint, I think everything started to align itself automatically. So yeah, Monday, I’m super excited for that. You’re funding your first big deal, that’s awesome. Again, I don’t want to keep you long, any last words before we part?
Star Morisseau:
Okay, well I mean pretty much, can you still hear me?
Oz:
I can hear you, yep.
Star Morisseau:
Yeah. Well I mean just to, as a closure is that I am again thankful and grateful, you’re doing an awesome job for putting this together in the fashion that you have and the way that you have put it together, like how you can, you know what was so exciting for me at first when I started, as I was listening or watching the video, the audio and I look below and I’m like, “Wait a minute, everything he’s telling me is actually right here in writing.” I can actually find them and then go sit out here just like I love nature, I would go in nature and then just revise and go through everything on my own time like without the technology part and then still go back and apply it and I like that too.
Oz:
Yeah, because people have different learning styles, right? Some people do better on videos, some people do like everything sinks in Monday, you see the text in front of them. So we try to accommodate to that and I have many members who kind of print out the whole thing and they study it and they come back and things like that. But yeah, it’s always exciting to see your success and communicate with you. Great having in the community Star. Thanks so much for doing this.
