Oz Konar:
So let’s just do some basic calculation. Ever since you’ve joined, you mentioned a ton of deals and I can’t really [crosstalk 00:00:07]. How many have been funded so far, whether it’s through start up funding or actual real estate funding together?
John Sears:
Yes, sir. So far I’ve made over 10,000 in my first month and we should come out by the end of next week, about 30,000, 40,000 I should have cleared by then.
Oz Konar:
Hey everyone, Oz Konar here with Business Lending Blueprint. This is another episode of me interviewing one of our members in our community. John and I have been chatting back and forth through Facebook Messenger and he has a lot to share because of his success, and I thought it would be a good idea for us to share what’s going on through the BLB community also on our channel. So John, welcome. How are you doing today?
John Sears:
I’m doing fantastic, Mr. Oz. How are you doing today?
Oz Konar:
I am great. I’m excited to be finally meeting you in person. I know we do a lot of writing back. So John, tell me about yourself even prior to the blueprint? Who are you? What you’ve been doing? Let’s go through that a little bit.
John Sears:
Yes sir. So I started out I’m retired military. I was in the military explosives and what happened was I got into real estate and then I got into credit repair. So I have a real estate license. I started doing credit repair for free about 25 years ago for my clients that got denied and then about 20 years ago, I opened up a credit repair company and it’s grown since then. So I was getting a lot of leads from these funding companies for the last year and I was praying and I said, “God, what are they funding? What are they funding?” And so I would get some from Jerusalem, I would get some from New York. People would just call me and say, “Look, I have a client that can’t get funded because of this, this and that.”
John Sears:
So I was praying when then I said, “Wait a minute, what kind of funding?” So I saw your ad. I looked at it for like three weeks and I listened to what you said, and so all of a sudden just said to myself, I was like, “I’m a man of faith,” and God said, “Just go for it.” And when I went for it, I was so excited. Then when I saw the Blueprint, I went to the wife and said, “Look, this is the hottest ticket in town,” and I said, “because we have the real estate, we have the credit repair, we have a lot of business people that buy our houses from us. They flip houses and so we will have everything under one ceiling.” So when I launched it, it was about two days in, I started being mentored by Mr. Daniel Diaz who’s an awesome guy, taught me a lot of things in a short time so I was breaking away from my credit repair. We had about 50 people in the pipeline already. My phone started blowing up the first day. I was without a website. I just put it out there. I just said, “Hey, we’re doing funding now.” And my phone never stopped, hasn’t stopped since.
John Sears:
So every day, we get leads from people that refer us. “Hey, Mr. Sears did this. Mr. Sears did this for us. He’s got some leads. He’s got the loan.” So we have loans. I got two we’re doing with [inaudible 00:03:38] right now that’s in the process of closing in the next two weeks. We have about 15 [inaudible 00:03:45] right now and because I come out the credit repair, as soon as their scores get to 690, I got off the phone with two young ladies that opened up today, their scores were in the 750s. We had just got it from a 550 two months ago to a 750. And what happened was they said, “We want to open up an LLC.” I said, “Let me get on the phone. Let me get Ricky your information.” One just got approved for 20K, the other one just got approve up to 30,000 and every day we’re just putting people through the filter and to the funnel, and we have some other people that we’re working on [inaudible 00:04:24]. We have about 200 people in the pipeline that we haven’t even touched the call yet.
Oz Konar:
It’s going to be an exciting summer, huh?
John Sears:
Yes, sir. Exciting. We got paid last night 2,400. We woke up, we had 2,400 in our business account. And so that’s just the start of the one that we just did, and we got paid with Daniel last month on three of them, and so each week I want to do… This is how I formulated, Mr. Oz. I said if I can do a thousand dollars with 20 people in one week to [inaudible 00:05:03], to whoever, to [inaudible 00:05:07] to different partners that we went to the scenario, that’s $20,000 if we do 20 at a thousand, and that’s just a low ball fee.
Oz Konar:
It is a very low ball figure. It’s very conservative.
John Sears:
Very conservative. But this week, we should put through… We put through 30 people already. Only two of them got denied and so we got checks. What we’re doing is trying to build up where we have checks coming in everyday, everyday as we piled it up, but we have to get in that synchronized motion right there.
Oz Konar:
Yeah. I mean you said a bunch of great things. First of all, I didn’t know you’re ex-military. Thank you for your service. I appreciate it. I’m grateful for any service members. You guys do great things for this country and make it possible for us to run our businesses and help others. That’s important. The second thing is, I think a month ago, maybe less than that, you were telling me that your goal is to break six figures a month, build a seven figure company and I see that you’re not just saying it. You have a solid plan and you’re getting pretty close to it. Especially with those goals, they’re very conservative to be making a thousand dollars, and you and I know you can easily make 2, 3, 4K from each one of those, and that’s very doable. And the interesting part is you have no background in this industry. Yeah, you’re a credit repair person for many years, that’s awesome, but you didn’t know much about lending, is that right?
John Sears:
No sir. I just followed the blueprint that you gave us and through the scope of the scale that you put in on with the poster and then talking back and forth with you and Daniel, business, to me, is like a system. Once you have a system, and that’s what I loved about when I saw your ad on the internet, it was a system. If you have a system, McDonald’s had a system, Wendy’s had a system, anybody that particularly has a system, if you have a system and that system is predicate, all you do is take that system and you groove it and take it up to that next level for you. And that was so easy, the system. And when I ran to my wife and said, “They have a system.”
Oz Konar:
And thank you for simplifying. That is as simple as that, honestly, right? Because I think we can argue that McDonald’s has the best burgers. That’s really not the issue. But why are they way bigger than somebody else who must be making the best burgers out there? It’s because they spent all their time building a system. Any company that’s grown out of proportion and scale is not because of the way they look, it’s not because of what they say, it’s not because of any of that. It is because they’re following a system or they’ve created a system. So I think you are a definition of that pretty much, because you had access to all of these opportunities which you didn’t know really much about, and now when you match them against a complete system, you mentioned them to our partners, honestly, there is not a lot to do. Things happen on their own. Obviously you got to do your part, but from this point on, your job is, I guess, lead management, make sure that they go through the system.
John Sears:
Yes, sir. And that’s the exciting part because I have the build my credit repair system because I didn’t have a person to do that. But when I saw your plan in the outline when when I was listening to your video before I signed up, you were saying, “This is how we did it.” And then I said, “You know what? That’s the most exciting part.” So when I got on my first week, I just went through and looked at the system that you had, and everything I did, I just follow it. And then from that, I started formulating A, B, C, D, people that I could do a 500 credit score with, with revenue of this and then who has a 650 credit score or beginning, because I had a guy call me yesterday. He said, “I know you guys don’t do beginning. You don’t look.” I say, “Okay. Yes, we do. We have somebody that can do help you. Do you have a 690?” He said, “Yes, I do. I Have a 700 credit score.” I said, “I’m going to send you a link to my IQ in the application,” and he signed it and we got him approved today. Just before you call me, I got it from Rick that he said he’s approved for 20,000.
Oz Konar:
That’s a good day, huh?
John Sears:
Yes, it was. And we got three of them today approved from them and we got three approved from [inaudible 00:09:50]. We got five of them approved from them [inaudible 00:09:53] today. Well, how I found them is through the system as I was doing something with Credible, and there was a guy that called me back and he said, “Mr. Sears, those three guys you had was denied for this one, but if you can call this company up, they can do it for you.” And I was like, wow. And so we signed up at the ISO. They said, “I sent one through the BLB. We’re a big community and we would like to use you.” They said, “Oh, great.” I sent them 10 transactions, we got them all approved.
Oz Konar:
So you utilized the size of BLB to your benefit pretty much. [crosstalk 00:10:33] Otherwise, they might’ve easily declined you saying that, “Hey, you’re signing wrong? Who are you? We need to do due diligence.” That’s the power of the community, for sure. So let’s just do some basic calculation. Ever since you’ve joined, you mentioned a ton of deals that I can’t really keep track of. How many have been funded so far, whether it’s through start up funding or actual real estate funding altogether?
John Sears:
Yes Sir. So far I’ve made over 10,000 in my first month, and I have to put that post that and I’m very humble doing that because I had some people from the BLB community, not mentioning names, they called me yesterday and so I’m going to start sharing leads with them. I said, “We just split it half and half because we have so many leads that because of the community and what Daniel did for me, I want to help others.” And because of that spirit, and he never held back anything from me, he was very open. He said, “We’d do it this way. We do it.” He said, “Your form should look like this, John.” He taught me so many nuances of the business in that short time and I’m very good because I was explosive. I catch on to things very quick. I calculated. I said, “Okay, I have to get this, I have to do this, I have to do that.” And then I took that and we should come out by the end of next week about 30,000, 40,000 that should clear by then.
Oz Konar:
So I guess based on that projection, probably towards the end of the summer, you should be able to break that six figure a month, right?
John Sears:
Oh, definitely. Yes, sir. We’re pressing towards the mark. Any time I’ve ever did a business, Mr. Oz, when I got in real estate, I said, “I’m going to do five transactions this month.” That should net me 50,000-60,000. When, I did three, it netted me 50,000. When I got into this business, I started seeing who pays this, who pays that? And I said, “Okay, if I do this many, if I do 30 this week and after this Friday, we’re moving on from them to the next 30, because we’re going to have them in a system and I give it over to my process.” So all I’m doing is propagating. Every day I’m propagating our business, putting it out there, saying we’re doing this, we’re doing that, and all of a sudden I’m getting referrals.
John Sears:
People call me. I got 10 referrals from a guy that we did a [inaudible 00:13:04] loan for 75,000 and he gave me 10. I had another guy we did a PPP loan for, and he gave me 20 people. They’re talking about us out there. I had a guy call me, Mr. Oz. He’s a trucker. He said, “Every time I’m pulled,” he’ll put me on the phone with 10 people a day. He’s at a truck stop. “Oh, this is my friend, Mr. Sears. He has a [inaudible 00:13:29],” and it’s so exciting because now I can help them with funds. Before it was just credit. Now, I have a whole atmosphere that these people need financing to keep their trucks on the road.
Oz Konar:
Which is very limiting. You had all this potential, but all you had is just the one vehicle and that’s dependent on somebody’s credit and most people do not have the credit and you have to have them enroll into that process and wait for them to grow and flourish. Well, then what do you do? You didn’t have anything else to do with that.
John Sears:
No, that was it. I would given to another funding company, to be honest. I had about 10 funding companies that I would give them to, but because they gave them to me first and so I would give them back. And so what I did was I started, like I said, I said, “What’s funding?” And that’s when I met you on the internet. And it changed my whole aspect of… It did a paradigm shift, as you said. It opened up a whole new world to me that now they are only getting funds for the business, I do have a business where I have one-on-one advisors that build their credit on the business side without using a social security number so once they get funded, they come to our business side, pay for our one-on-one advisors for four months and that’s another way of making lucrative funds also. I didn’t have that before I had the funding company.
Oz Konar:
And John, people watching this probably will die to know, so you’re funding all of these deals and you’re growing the company. On the funding end, how many employees do you have?
John Sears:
Right now I have three, but on my credit repair, I have 200. I don’t touch them. I have three and I have two people in the BLB that have their own companies and I signed two more on with me. So what I said was they’re already in the community. They already know the setup. And so what I did was I gave 20 leads to him. I gave 30 leads to another one and I got three other employees they my process and I have also, they make the calls also with me. So five people all together, three employees, three other ones in the BLB community.
Oz Konar:
So then can we say that to be able to generate all these leads and hopefully take your company to seven figures, you’ll be able to do that with three to five people, right?
John Sears:
Oh yes sir, definitely. Because of the system, because as we put it in place, all it is just I have my calendar thing now, which is a great, awesome thing that Mr. Daniel Diaz taught me. Yesterday, my schedule went from 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM last night.
Oz Konar:
Wow.
John Sears:
Today I took a break because of this. Soon as I finish, I’m on at six o’clock all the way until nine tonight. Now I’m starting to go down at six o’clock, so now we set up, I’m the first preference I have my second employee is the second. When their calendar fills up, we go to the third one, then we give it to the two other ones that’s in the BLB community. We fill our calendars up. So now each day we’re working towards a goal and in between the 10 minutes that we have delayed, we’re making other phone calls too and then I have a followup team, which is my wife. She follows up on the ones that we’ve already gave applications and she has a spreadsheet with them and she’s hiring two other people, my daughter and my son who’s home from college for second, and they’re going to help out with that.
Oz Konar:
So it’s truly a family business. That’s very interesting.
John Sears:
And it’s getting exciting every day.
Oz Konar:
Because you guys are making money and helping others, and this is just scratching the surface for you. For someone with your potential, this is not the end of the road or you’re not going to hit the ceiling. You determine the height of the ceiling, which is very exciting, at least for me to listen to what’s happening with your business. That’s quite amazing actually, that you’re also helping people in the community. For anyone watching, you might not be familiar with the Blueprint structure, so I want to, if you don’t mind, John, just mention that for two minutes. So guys, and anyone who’s interested in the BLB, what John is doing is pretty much taking advantage of all the resources that we provide, which is really, really important. You got to be resourceful. So we have all of that, but you got to be the person going in and taking advantage of that.
Oz Konar:
So actually, what it comes down to three different ways you can build a business. One is you have direct access to the lender. So you can go ahead, like John did that. So work with one lender and told them, “Hey, I’m backed up by BLB. Here are my leads. Fund me.” And they did the funding. That’s one way to do it. You have access to direct lenders with no middle guy. The second is you have a mentorship team. You can ask you work with veterans in the industry like Daniel and split the deals, have them do a lot of the work, at the same time, show you how it is done. You still get deals done, you learn a ton from somebody who’s been doing it for many, many years, but you still make a lot of money. That’s option two.
Oz Konar:
Option three is like done for you. Like you mentioned, we have partners that can literally pass the leads over to them. They take over the entire process, do the funding and pay you. So pick and choose, right? No excuses to not build a successful business, and John is also reaching out to other members in our BLB and helping them with lead generation, which is helping his business and it goes full circle. I’m just very happy to have met you personally, John, and you should be really proud of yourself and your family, I’m sure they’re very proud of you too and your community as well. So this has been amazing and we just, at a super fast pace, went through a lot of things that you’re doing. If someone is watching this, whether they’re in the Blueprint or they’re thinking about this, what would you tell them, John?
John Sears:
I would say, just because of your system, jump in it without any fear, without any thinking, because anybody who does this in this system can succeed because of the community, because of the system, the community and people are open-hearted in this business and our BLB community and you have a foundation already. You don’t have to build another foundation. You don’t have the script anything differently. If you stay within the structure and talk to people in our community, you can grow your business to whatever you want to, because we’re standing on the shoulders, and as I said in the email texts that I sent, I thank God that He placed you in our lives, because I don’t think I meet people by happenstance. I believe that people are ordained to me to take you up to that next level. You dug this business out and I just want to thank you for doing that for all of us, because even if you’re not in this, I would recommend.
John Sears:
This is the new generation thing, BLB, and that Blueprint. If you can get into this without any experience, you can succeed. You can succeed because of the backing, the coaching. We didn’t even mention the coaching. I had a meeting with my coach the other day and he taught me some things about how I should do this, how I should do that, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. So that’s the most exciting part. You have a community that’s not fighting against one another. They’re helping each other and congratulating and uplifting. And that’s what I wanted to be a part of. And this is part of my family now, the BLB community.
Oz Konar:
That’s the way I see it. Honestly, over the past three, four years, most of my friends came out of the BLB community because it’s just such a like-minded community that I don’t seek to find other people outside of, that we have a lot of amazing people like yourself, and if anyone watching, you guys believe in the power of communities and how a group of like-minded people can shake the world, well, you’re witnessing that. So if you enjoy things like this, if you want to meet wonderful people like John, I think this is an opportunity, because honestly, you can be doing a lot of things, but if you can, I suggest you do things with great people that can help each other, that makes your job way easier than you trying to figure things out through trial and error.
Oz Konar:
And like John mentioned, we haven’t even talked about our coaching. You get assigned a coach from my company that does one-on-one calls with you to show you maybe certain things that you are missing or maybe provide some clarity and then things like that. So that’s really, really important. So anything that you would improve about the Blueprint, John, since you’re in there. Because you’re a customer and obviously you pay for this, your feedback has the most importance to me. So as you’ve gone through the Blueprint, is there anything you say, “Oh gosh, I wish Oz would have done this or done that?”
John Sears:
That’s kind of funny Mr. Oz, because I don’t see anything I can improve on and that’s totally honest. I want to tell everybody that’s part of the BLB and people that’s thinking about joining, there’s no BS in this. What they said is what happened. When I signed up, everything they said, I did the fast track, Samantha was there for me. When I emailed her, she was there and told me, “Okay, do this, do this.” My wife talked to her, she was on the spot, she got our website up, launched us. Everything’s there for you if you take advantage of it, and that’s the most important part. If you’re part of a system, there’s no need to tinker over here, tinker over there. Just put the work in and the fruits will come to life, and I believe that because that’s why I was excited to join. And it was when I met you, met Daniel, met the community and introduce myself, everybody took me in, “congratulations,” and this and that. And I can talk to Daniel, I talked to you, I’ve talked to others and there was no coming back to me saying, “I’ll get that to you later.” When they answered, they said, “You can do this. You can go to this lender here. You can go to this lender.” Nothing was hidden, everything was transparent and that’s what I love about.
Oz Konar:
Amen. Yeah, thanks for that. Listen I don’t want to keep you longer. You’re a busy business owner, you have a lot going on, but thank you for taking time away.
John Sears:
